During the project "Jakobsflug" or in English called "Jamesflight" Melanie and Andreas Stütz flew in a gyrocopter over 3.000 km along the Camino the Santiago also known as the Way of St. James. This famous way in Europe is the pilgrimage to the Spanish Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Above you see a slideshow of selected photos from the married pilot couple Stütz on their way to Saint James.

The route was from near Berlin via Aachen in Germany, across France, over the Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela and further to Cape Finisterre, the most Western part of Spain. On their way they asked the locals about their childhood dreams as well. This has really been a pilot project for the Gyrocopter World Tour as it is already challenging for a pilgrim on the ground regarding the different landscapes and weather conditions.
